Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Patchwork Studio, a product of Parallel Play LLC ("Parallel Play," "we," "our," or "us"), available at patchworkstudio.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Patchwork Studio. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most features. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@patchworkstudio.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Free and Paid Plans

Patchwork Studio offers a free tier and a paid Maker subscription.

4. Payments and Cancellation

Maker subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain Maker access until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but we will work with you in good faith if you contact us with a billing concern.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the quilt patterns, makes, photos, and other content you create on Patchwork Studio ("Your Content"). By posting content to the Service, you grant Parallel Play LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute Your Content as necessary to operate and provide the Service.

Content you mark as public may be visible to other users and indexed by search engines. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload, including photos and fabric imagery.

We do not use Your Content to train AI or machine learning models.

6. Acceptable Use and Community Standards

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Scrape or extract data from the Service in bulk without permission
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Community content

Patchwork Studio is a creative community for quilters. When sharing patterns, makes, photos, or comments publicly, you agree that your content:

• Is related to quilting, sewing, fabric arts, or other creative pursuits
• Does not contain nudity, sexually explicit material, or graphic violence
• Does not harass, threaten, or demean other users
• Does not constitute spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotions
• Does not include personal information about others without their consent
• Does not infringe on the copyright or trademarks of third parties — including fabric manufacturer imagery, which may not be reproduced without permission

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate them. If you see content that doesn't belong, use the Report feature or contact us directly.

7. Intellectual Property

Patchwork Studio, its design, features, and underlying software are owned by Parallel Play LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. "Patchwork Studio" is a trademark of Parallel Play LLC.

Fabric collection references

Patchwork Studio references the following fabric collections for design and color inspiration purposes only. All collection names, color names, and associated intellectual property belong to their respective manufacturers. Color values are digitally approximated representations and are not guaranteed to match physical fabric. Patchwork Studio and Parallel Play LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with any of these manufacturers.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Color and fabric accuracy

Fabric colors displayed in Patchwork Studio are digital representations intended to approximate real-world fabric colors for design purposes only. Actual fabric colors will vary depending on your screen's calibration, brightness, color profile, and manufacturing tolerances of the fabric itself. We make no warranty that colors shown in the app will match the appearance of physical fabric when purchased.

We recommend requesting physical swatches from your fabric retailer before making purchasing decisions based on colors displayed in the app. Parallel Play LLC is not responsible for fabric purchases made in reliance on color representations in the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLEL PLAY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
